Enrico graduated from Conservatory-equivalent "Orazio Vecchi" Institute of Musical Studies in Modena with full marks, honours and an honourable mention under the guidance of M. Chen, and he studied with Maestro A. Baldovino at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. He obtained a scholarship from the Rassegna Vittorio Veneto (1996) and further studied with Trio Trieste at the Duino International Chamber Music Academy, obtaining the Diploma of Merit and Honour at the Chigiana Academy of Siena. A permanent member of the Trio Estense since 1994, he also attended the Altemberg Trio Wien Masterclass at the Pinerolo Music Academy. He won the 1st prize in various national and international competitions, including Riviera della Versilia (1994), Pinerolo Città della Cavalleria (1995), Vittorio Gui (1997), G. B. Viotti (1998) and the Jeunesse Musicale of Italy national auditions (1998). With Trio Estense, he played in Lagos, Kaduna, Abuja, and Port Harcourt. He performed with great critical acclaim with the Israel Philharmonic, the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale and the Filarmonici di Bologna, at the Teatro Regio in Parma and at the Teatro G. Verdi in Trieste. He collaborates with the Carlo Felice Theatre (Genoa), the Haydn Orchestra (Bolzano), the Toscanini Orchestra (Parma), the ORT (Orchestra della Toscana, Florence) and La Fenice Orchestra (Venice). With the Toscanini Symphonic Orchestra, he played under the direction of L. Maazel, K. Masur, Z. Metha, G. Tate, M. Plasson, E. Inbal, G. Pretre, E. Schiff, M. Rostropovich, V. Spivakov, S. Accardo, U. Ughi, S. Bunin, and M. Vengerov. In 2008, he played with the New York Philharmonic and was invited to audition with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He performed on tour in the USA, South America, Japan, China; also, at the Hamburg Musikhalle, in Kiel, in Cologne, at the Chopin Museum in Warsaw, at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washintgton D.C., at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York, and at the Opéra National de Paris.
